Once I read a letter that a daughter write to her father about her appreciate to her mother. But I have ignored it. When I slowly grow up, I read it again. To my surprise, I am deeply touched by the letter. Because the writer expresses her true feeling and I totally agree with it.
The writer describes a common social thing using her own experience. First of all, she starts by feeling lucky about herself that her mother is still alive for her to express thank to, Because many of her friends’ mom are dead when they start to realize the love from their moms. It is a common phenomena that exist widely in the people in my age. When we are children, we never thought to be thankful about the care and all the stuff we need to live that provided by moms. We take these for grant. As we just start to get matured, we always think we are strong enough that we are no longer need the advice from moms. The writer say: “For the love, patience and just plain hard work that go into raising a child? For running after a toddler, for understanding a moody teenager, for tolerating a college student who knows everything? For waiting for the day when a daughter realizes her mother really is? Later, when we fail and really get matured, we know the important of moms and begin to appreciate. But sometimes it is too late. So at the end of the letter, she pray for her mom from her own heart. It reminds me to think of myself, now I really begin to thank my mom.
