respose to Literacy in three metaphors

In “Literacy in three metaphors”, which is written by Sylvia Scribner. The writer defines the literacy as three characters, the “literacy as power.” “Literacy as a state of grace.” “Social meaning of literacy: a case study.” In general, I agree with what the writer says, however, I have some own view towards the meaning of literacy. To me, literacy is sort of grace. And as we talk in class, all the asset we have can be defined as a literacy. So piano, hand-writing, music, singing, dancing, text message are all literacy instead of just writing. And literacy plays an increasing important role in our modern society. For example, as the growth of the modern society, computer slowly replace the labor work, in that case, it is very important for a worker to have the basic computer literacy. What is the same is that the accountants are all supposed to own the basic finical literacy. It is no doubt that the more literacy you have, the more skills you master. And in the modern society, only the people who master the most skills can stand out and win the competition.
